Spinel CIAO – espresso for home and the small office
A good coffee break doesn’t need much space: the Spinel CIAO for 44 mm E.S.E. pods is just 14 cm wide. It’s made for anyone who wants to make single espressos with pre-portioned coffee, without setting a grinder or weighing ground coffee.
The version offered in our shop uses E.S.E. pods. Keep this system in mind when reordering.

Rated power refers to the electrical connected load, not consumption per cup. Actual energy consumption also depends on operating time and use.
Everyday use and care
A central cloche closure seals the brewing unit. The machine has a galvanised steel frame, ABS panels and a patented hydraulic self-cleaning system, which does not replace care as per the operating manual.
Fill with fresh water, insert the right pod as instructed and brew your espresso. Then remove the used pod and clean the designated parts regularly.
Note on features: the manufacturer lists Energy Saving, Credit Coffee System and an electronic kit as options. These extra functions are not promised here as part of the standard version offered.
Matching coffee: Drago Mocambo E.S.E. pods
Choose your flavour profile and add the coffee separately:
- Gran Bar – 144 E.S.E. pods: the milder, nutty, chocolatey option.
- Brasilia – 144 E.S.E. pods: darker roasted, strong and spicy.
On the pod product pages you’ll find the quantity prices for several cartons. This lets you put together a coffee stock for home or your team to suit your consumption and reorder later.
Espresso in the office – plan realistically
The CIAO is designed for single cups brewed one after the other. For a small team, a reception area or occasional visitors, a simple pod system is practical. If you need many cups in a short time, talk to us about the right equipment.
For cappuccino or latte macchiato, combine the espresso with separately frothed milk. The coffee-only version offered has no integrated milk system.
Spinel and Drago Mocambo: choose machine and coffee separately
The machine is made by Spinel, the matching coffee blends by Drago Mocambo. This means you can choose and reorder your favourite E.S.E. coffee independently of buying the machine.
A gift idea for espresso fans
The Spinel CIAO can be combined with separately available Drago Mocambo pods for a personal coffee gift. Check beforehand whether the recipient would like an E.S.E. machine.

Which pods fit this machine?
The version offered is designed for 44 mm E.S.E. pods. You’ll find matching Drago Mocambo Gran Bar and Brasilia pods in our shop.
Can I use beans, loose ground coffee or Nespresso capsules?
This E.S.E. version uses matching pods. Whole beans, loose ground coffee, Nespresso capsules and Senseo soft pads are not intended for this system.
Do I need a coffee grinder?
No. The coffee is already portioned in the E.S.E. pod. You just need the matching pods and water, as described in the operating manual.
Can the CIAO froth milk?
The coffee-only version offered has no integrated milk system. For cappuccino or latte macchiato you can use a separate milk frother.
Do I need to clean the machine despite the self-cleaning system?
Yes. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning and care instructions. The hydraulic system replaces neither regular cleaning nor checking the water quality.
Are the Energy Saving function and an electronic kit included?
The manufacturer lists these functions as optional equipment. They are not promised as included on this product page. Ask us before ordering if you need one of them.

The warranty on products purchased with a VAT identification number (B2B) is 12 months. Shipping of our products
We deliver exclusively to Germany, Austria and some Central European countries. We do not ship to or carry out transactions with Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Corsica, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Finland. To check a destination, please contact us before ordering.
